Dr. Anes Kovacevic, Departmental Program Chairperson 2015-present; Associate Professor of Inorganic Chemistry; most recently on sabbatical in Bath England during the spring 2016.

Dr. Matt Saderholm, Natural Sciences, Mathematics, and Nursing Division Chair; Professor of Biochemistry; Departmental Chairperson 2011-2015; will finish duties as building shepherd and division chair to take a sabbatical during the 2019-2020 academic year.

Dr. Jay Baltisberger, Nathaniel Southgate Shaler Memorial Chair in Geology and Chemistry; Professor of Physical Chemistry; Departmental Chairperson 2005-2011; will leave for a sabbatical during the spring 2019.

Dr. Paul Smithson, Associate Professor of Environmental Chemistry; Paul C Hagar Excellence in Advising Award, 2013; most recently on sabbatical during spring 2017.

Dr. Mary Robert Garrett, Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry; Paul C Hagar Excellence in Advising Award, 2015; most recently on sabbatical leave for 2016-2017 academic year doing work at the chemistry program at the University of Nottingham in England.

Dr. Elizabeth M Thomas, Visiting Professor of Chemistry, will be joining us at Berea for two years (2016-2018) to help teach classes and conduct research on green chemistry and biochemistry.
