Signature Events

A Berea College “Signature Event” is an on- or off-campus event that supports the College’s Strategic Framework and the Great Commitments as assigned by the President, the Chief Strategy Officer, and/or the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives.

Annual Signature Events include, but are not limited to:

In addition to the direction of event logistics by the Director of Signature Events, the Event Production Audiovisual Engineer and/or the Events A/V student team will also provide support, unless an outside vendor is advised due to the size or complexity of the A/V needs. In some cases, events may be approved for the Event Production A/V Engineer and student team support without the Director of Signature Events' assistance. 

If a campus event is not designated as a Signature Event, the Director of Signature Events can offer event planning consultation upon notification at least one month prior to the event date, and as the Director’s schedule allows. Similarly, the Event Production Audiovisual Engineer or the Event A/V student team can offer advice and training on A/V rental equipment if notified at least 1 month prior to the event date. Additional event support may be provided, dependent on scheduling, event priority, and equipment availability.  The Signature Events and Event Production team consults and collaborates with Berea College IT as needed.
