The Information Technology (IT) Department is located on the ground level of the new CMIT building. Our department is committed to delivering outstanding technical support and services for the campus community. We are the primary point of contact for technology questions or issues for students, faculty, and staff. We also provide audio visual and classroom support for the campus.

Contact the Helpdesk at 859.985.3343 or Helpdesk. Office hours are M, W-F 8AM-noon & 1-5PM and Tues 8AM-noon & 1-3PM. The Help Desk is closed noon-1PM for lunch. Appointments with the Helpdesk can be scheduled below by clicking on the Book a Help Desk Appointment button.

In order to maintain security and stability, we regularly perform maintenance on the systems and services that Berea College owns. Below is the schedule of times when regular maintenance may be performed during the College operating calendar. Please be aware that emergency maintenance may be performed outside of these windows or on College holidays, but will generally be announced campus-wide.

During these maintenance service windows, services impacted may be degraded or unavailable.

Please note that no additional notices will be sent for any scheduled routine maintenance windows; however, if any scheduled work exceeds the window, a follow-up notice will be sent by individual groups responsible for the service.  The best option is to check with the Helpdesk if you have any questions or concerns.

  • General Maintenance: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Every Wednesday
  • Server Maintenance: 1:30 to 6:30 AM, Every Monday
  • Banner, BDM and Argos: 1:00 – 3:00 AM, Tuesday – Saturday
  • MyBerea portal functionality: 1:00 – 3:00 AM, Tuesday – Saturday
