Travis J. Albritton serves as Dean of Community and Commitments in the Office of Academic Affairs. He provides leadership and administrative oversight for initiatives that advance institutional belonging, shared responsibility, and alignment with the College’s academic mission and Great Commitments. In this role, he works in close partnership with faculty and academic leadership and provides oversight for several of the College’s academic centers, including the bell hooks center, the Center for International Education, the Carter G. Woodson Center for Interracial Education, and the Center for Excellence in Learning Through Service.
A social work educator and academic leader by training, Dr. Albritton brings a background in equity-minded education and trauma-informed frameworks. His current work focuses on strengthening student success and faculty engagement through inclusive learning environments, academic persistence, leadership development, and the integration of curricular and co-curricular learning. He collaborates across Academic Affairs to support teaching, learning, and institutional effectiveness in ways that reinforce the College’s educational mission and long-term priorities.
