Berea College recognizes that mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with the private sector are essential to advancing the College's mission and expanding educational opportunities for our students. Corporate, Foundation, and Family Relations (CFFR), within Alumni, Communications and Philanthropy (ACP), specializes in facilitating mission-driven philanthropic support from foundations, corporations, and private organizations.

By partnering with faculty, staff, and institutional leadership, we identify and develop collaborative relationships that align external resources with the mission of Berea College and those that intersect with it. We are available to connect and talk through ideas, especially in the early stages. Our work focuses on building thoughtful partnerships that align donor interests and institutional priorities to support meaningful, mission-driven initiatives.

Our strength is our people—a team of curious and cooperative professionals serving the campus community and our external partners to aid in meeting needs and resolving challenges. The team proactively seeks out, creates and sustains mutually beneficial partnerships, as well as private funding opportunities.

We help private organizations and businesses across a variety of focus areas and industries discover their alignment with Berea's mission and match their philanthropic efforts to the College's needs, through both funding and other means of support and interaction. Our goal is to develop and maintain strong institutional relationships, leading to successful grants and long-term partnerships that enrich both our campus community and that of our partners.
