Bio

I was born in Sindelfingen, Germany and raised in Braunschweig and Metzingen, Germany. I lived in Italy for a year while serving in the German Air Force. I played team handball for UNC while in graduate school - we won the college nationals three times (2004-2006) during these years. I was the most valuable goalie in the 2004 finals. My concentrations in graduate school were labor and health economics. I have worked as a bar tender, mover, tutor, roadie, referee, newspaper boy, economist and professor. About 200 teddy bears decided to live at my place. I love electronic music. I speak German, English, Norwegian and Italian. I am still working on Swedish, Danish and Spanish. Time permitting, I try to solve killer sudokus. I drink about 2 liters of Coke Zero each day. At Berea I have taught Principles of Microeconomics, Applied Statistics, Labor Economics, Health Economics, Game Theory and the Junior/Senior Research Seminar.
