What can you do with a major in Business Administration?
How do I explore the Business Administration Major?
Students considering a Major in Business Administration can enroll in BUS 120: Accounting I. BUS/CSC 114 Business
Apps & Programming, ECO 101 Principles of Macroeconomics, or ECO 102 Principles of Microeconomics. Students must
waive or complete MAT 115: College Algebra with Modeling to be admitted to the major.
What are some of the courses i can take?
Students who Major in Business Administration are required to complete the Business core which includes Business Applications and Programing, Accounting I and II. Business Law, Management. Marketing, Financial Management and Strategic Management. Each student must choose a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Management. or Marketing. Optional concentrations in International Business and Management Information Systems are also available, as is a Public Accounting Option. Students who Major in Business Administration are required to complete a common core and then each chooses a concentration. Courses include:

Students who choose to Major in Economics can choose a concentration in International
Politics and Policy or Methods and Models. A Minor in the field is also possible. Optional

How do I explore the Economics Major?
Students considering a Major in Economics should enroll in ECO 101 Principles of Macroeconomics and ECO 102, Principles of Microeconomics and move toward completion of MAT 115 as soon as possible.
What are some of the courses in can take?
Students who Major in Economics are required to select a concentration in International Politics and Policy or Methods and Models. IPP concentration students complete courses in Political Science in addition to theory courses in International Political Economy and Microeconomics or Macroeconomics. M&M concentration students complete courses in Mathematics and Statistics/Econometrics in addition to theory courses in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics. Both
concentrations will select multiple field courses such as, Money & Banking, International Trade, International Finance, Environmental Economics and Economics of Immigration. An optional concentration in Finance is also available. Students who Major in Economics are required to select a concentration in International Politics and Policy or Methods and Models. Exploring the Major- Students considering Business Administration as a major should begin exploring the discipline through these beginner courses: BUS 120, ECO 101, and ECO 102.
Admission to the Major- To be admitted to the Business Administration major (all concentrations), students must:
Exploring the Economics (B.A) Major
Exploring the Major— Students considering a major in Economics should begin exploring the discipline through the Department’s introductory courses—ECO 101 and ECO 102.
Admission to the Major— Completion of ECO 101 and ECO 102, and completion or enrollment in MAT 115 at the time they declare the major.
Exploring the Quantitative Economics (B.S.) Major
Exploring the Major— Students considering the Quantitative Economics major should begin exploring the discipline through the Department’s introductory courses - ECO 101 and ECO 102. Also, because mathematics is a significant component of the Quantitative Economics major, prospective students are encouraged to progress through the Mathematics sequence, completing or waiving MAT 115, MAT 125 and MAT 135 as early as possible.
Admission to the Major— Completion of ECO 101 and ECO 102 and completion or enrollment in ECO 250 at the time of declaration of the major.
