The Artifacts & Exhibits Studio
The Loyal Jones Appalachian Center’s Artifacts & Exhibits Studio is the behind-the-scenes work center where the Curator and student Curatorial Associates working under Berea’s Labor Program care for the artifact collections and produce the Center’s exhibits and media. In many ways the A&E Studio functions like small museum program within the LJAC.
Artifact Collections
The A&E Studio has museum-quality artifact storage facilities and manages approximately 5,000 cultural artifacts and specimens. It serves as steward of and provides access to three Berea College Artifact Collections:

Studio for Exhibits and Media
The A&E Studio also maintains a small studio/workspace/lab for the in-house production of exhibits and educational media. The productions populate the Appalachian Center Galleries and support courses and student/faculty projects.
