Who Is Eligible?

This award is for permanent staff members, those defined as full-time or part-time with no agreed-upon end date. Grant-funded positions and institutionally funded positions are also eligible. Staff Forum Co-Chairs will solicit the campus for nominations of a staff member via survey during the spring term. Only current faculty and staff may submit nominations. Nominators are to provide the staff member’s name and a synopsis of their rationale for the nominee. Staff may self-nominate if they so choose. The Co-Chairs are to take these nominations to the Staff Forum Advisory Committee (SFAC) for voting. Nominator names are not to be included. Co-Chairs may provide the submitted information to the SFAC for review to later come together with their top choices. The award recipient will then be notified.

The award recipient will be announced at Commencement and invited to a recognition dinner hosted by the President’s Office at a later date. A wooden plaque will be presented to the award winner and a monetary award of $1,500 will also be provided via direct deposit.
