Water
Overview
This dashboard illustrates water data at Berea College. Water use, or water quantity data, reflects the total amount of water used by the college as part of its day-to-day operations. This includes water used inside buildings and for irrigation purposes on campus, to maintain our landscape. Irrigation of lawns at Berea College is minimal. While athletic fields are maintained at a professional level requiring frequent irrigation, all other grounds are only irrigated during extended droughts to protect the grass. Berea College Forest’s watersheds and reservoirs supply water to both campus and the City of Berea. Water is a vital resource. Its careful use and stewardship is necessary in promoting sustainable operations.
