Frequently Asked Questions

When is move-in day?

Move-in day is August 19, 2023. We ask that new students arrive between 8am and 1pm to check into their residence hall. If you are an athlete, you may be asked to move in early, but the Athletics Department will be your primary contacts for that.

Why can’t I log into MyBerea?

If you’re having trouble logging into your MyBerea account or Berea College email, it may be because you haven’t changed your password yet. To do so, go to passphrase.berea.edu. If changing your password doesn’t work, please call Student Success & Transition at 859-985-3376.

How does course registration work?

We will work with you to create your first-term schedule based on your submitted course preferences, test scores, and transfer credit as well as the requirements for all new Berea College students.

Where do I send my final high school transcript?

High school transcripts can be emailed to askadmissions@berea.edu or mailed to Berea College, Office of Admissions, CPO 2220, Berea, KY 40404.

How can I submit transfer credit or AP, CLEP, or IB scores?

All transfer credit and test scores must be sent directly from the host institution or testing company via email to registrar@berea.edu or by mail to Berea College, Office of the Registrar, CPO 2168, Berea, KY 40404.

When will I get my Labor assignment, and where will I be working?

You will have the opportunity to upload a copy of your resume, which should include any past work or volunteer experience. Once this information is received, the Labor program will review it and make assignments accordingly. After your first year at Berea, you will have the opportunity to seek out a different Labor position on campus.

When is Summer Connections?

Summer Connections will take place June 23-24 and July 14-15 in 2023. Incoming students can choose to attend either session. Dates for Summer 2024 will be announced in early 2024.

How do I sign up for Summer Connections?

You’ll receive an email from SST with a link to sign up.

Can I bring guests to Summer Connections?

Yes, you can bring guests! Please indicate how many guests you are bringing in the electronic registration form.

Do I have to stay on campus for Summer Connections?

Student are expected to stay on campus. Guests are welcome to stay on campus as well but are not required to do so. There is no cost for on-campus housing during Summer Connections.
