Berea College Giving Day is Aug. 31

BEREA, Ky. – Berea College’s annual Giving Day is Thursday, Aug. 31. Giving Day generates support for Berea’s students with contributions coming from donors locally, regionally and nationally.

Berea College’s mission is to provide opportunity for students of all races, primarily from Appalachia, who have great promise and limited economic resources. Because no Berea College student pays tuition, donations from Giving Day help offset the cost of education for these students.

“On my first Giving Day at Berea College, I’m excited to see how the community comes together to support our mission—to provide an education to students with great promise but limited economic resources,” said Berea College President Cheryl Nixon. “Giving Day offers our community the chance to make an investment in the future of Berea College students. Our students truly are our brightest future—they will return the gift by serving, strengthening, and bringing their talents to our communities.“
