Berea College Invites Community to Inaugural One Reunion Mountaineer Fest
BEREA, Ky. — Berea College will host the inaugural Mountaineer Fest – a free outdoor music festival – from 5 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Alumni Fields, located at 225 Scaffold Cane Road in Berea.
Part of Berea College’s first One Reunion weekend, Mountaineer Fest will showcase nationally recognized and regional artists, food trucks, a Biergarten and Wine Garden, a Little Mountaineers Village for children and families and a fireworks finale.
The festival celebrates Berea by bringing together current students, welcoming alumni back, honoring milestone reunion years, and inviting the wider Berea community to join the festivities.
The event is presented in partnership with AMP Berea.
Gates open at 5 p.m.
A variety of food trucks will be on site with food available for purchase throughout the festival.
Guests age 21 and older can visit the Biergarten and Wine Garden, open from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Proper identification will be required to purchase alcoholic beverages.
Families can enjoy Little Mountaineers Village, a special area featuring activities and fun for the festival’s youngest guests.
Headlining the musical portion of Mountaineer Fest is Grammy-nominated recording artist Devon Gilfillian, whose music brings together soul, funk, R&B and rock.
Known for his powerful vocals and energetic live performances, Gilfillian has appeared on major stages and at festivals across the country. His album Love You Anyway received a Grammy nomination.
Taking the stage before Gilfillian is Columbus-based MojoFlo, known for an energetic mix of funk, soul, rock and R&B. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Amber Knicole, MojoFlo has built a reputation for dynamic, dance-ready live performances.
Opening Mountaineer Fest is Berea College alumnus Darrin Hacquard, a singer-songwriter whose music draws from Americana, Appalachian and American traditions. Hacquard is a former member of Berea College’s Bluegrass Ensemble.
At approximately 10 p.m., the night will culminate with a fireworks finale over Alumni Fields.
Mountaineer Fest is part of Berea College’s inaugural One Reunion, a weekend bringing generations of Bereans together on campus.
The festival will celebrate current students, welcome alumni back to Berea and recognize alumni reunion classes, including the Class of 1976 celebrating its 50th reunion and the Class of 2001 celebrating its 25th reunion.
Mountaineer Fest extends the reunion celebration beyond campus by inviting the entire community to attend, enjoy the music and festivities and experience an evening on Alumni Fields together.
The concert serves as the finale of the 2026 Levitt BLOC Music Series, a free outdoor concert series now in its 20th year of partnership with the Levitt Family Foundation for AMP Berea, whose mission is to fortify community, diversify the arts and amplify Berea.
Free shuttle service will be provided to and from Alumni Fields throughout Mountaineer Fest.

Limited parking will be available near Alumni Fields. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or camping chair and wear shoes appropriate for grass and uneven terrain.
Coolers, pets, weapons and outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
