Bio

Brittney was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and raised just outside of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her connection to community living and student support began during her own time as a residential student, where campus housing played a meaningful role in shaping her sense of belonging and personal growth.

Brittney is a proud two-time graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina, having completed her studies in 2023 and 2025. Her professional experiences in residence life and housing center on community development, student staff supervision, and care-centered approaches to supporting students through both everyday moments and more complex challenges. She strives to cultivate residential environments rooted in mutual respect, compassion, and accountability.

Outside of work, Brittney enjoys creative and restorative pursuits, including crafting, playing guitar, kayaking, and spending time with her cat. She values creativity, reflection, and kindness as essential tools for building connection and sustaining community.
