Michelle M. Wasson

Hello, I’m Michelle Wasson. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from the University of Louisville, as well as an MBA from Sullivan University. Since 2007, I have built a diverse career in Human Resources across various sectors, including retail, manufacturing, and higher education. I joined Berea College in 2015 as an HR Generalist for Partners for Education and have since taken on multiple roles within the HR department.

I am certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and a Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Recently, I also earned my Strategic HR Business Certification.

As the Director of HR Operations at Berea College, I oversee a range of HR functions, including business partnership and organizational development, employee relations and engagement, talent acquisition and management, performance management, training and development, and compliance. My team and I are dedicated to supporting the College in all aspects of HR operations
