The Service Awards Program honors the dedication and long-term contributions of Berea College employees. This program recognizes milestones of 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25+ years of service, celebrating the commitment and impact employees have made to the College community. Recipients are recognized with a luncheon or dinner based on their years of service and receive a monetary gift as a token of the College’s appreciation.

The annual Retirement Party is a meaningful celebration that honors faculty and staff who are concluding their careers at Berea College. Held each spring, this event provides an opportunity for colleagues, family, and friends to come together to recognize retirees’ years of service, accomplishments, and lasting contributions to the institution.

Berea College Human Resources partners with Berea Community Schools to host a Thanksgiving Food Drive that supports local families in need. This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to community engagement and service by helping ensure families have access to nutritious meals during the holiday season.

The Annual Holiday Party, hosted by Berea College Human Resources each December, brings faculty and staff together to celebrate the holiday season and reflect on the year’s accomplishments. This event fosters connection, gratitude, and a shared sense of community across the campus.

Administrative Professionals Day is dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the vital contributions of Berea College’s administrative staff. This event highlights the essential role these employees play in supporting daily operations and advancing the mission of the College, while expressing sincere appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

Berea College is committed to fostering employee engagement by offering opportunities for fun, connection, and fellowship outside of the workplace. Activities such as trips to Dollywood, Cincinnati Reds games, local performances, and Perfect North encourage work-life balance, strengthen relationships, and reinforce the College’s appreciation for its employees.
