Donor Advised Funds

A donor advised fund is like a charitable savings account. It gives you the flexibility to determine how much and how often a gift is made to Berea College with a tax advantage. It is an excellent way to amplify your charitable giving and achieve your philanthropic goals.

Andre and Sophia established a donor advised fund with a community foundation and received a federal income tax charitable deduction for the amount of their gift. They now have the flexibility to determine how much of their gift a charity will receive and when. After learning about Berea College, they value the importance of affordable education and recommend a grant to be distributed to the College and they begin their journey of philanthropy.
