Bio

I am a trained social worker with professional experience in micro, mezzo, and macro-level social work environments. I firmly believe YOU are the expert of your own life, and I want to do all I can to connect you to the resources that will help you thrive. I love learning people’s stories, contexts, passions, and the reasons you get up in the morning. Navigating confusing systems and complex problems can be so overwhelming to tackle alone – I’m excited to collaborate with you to help you meet your needs, follow through on your goals, and develop your strongest sense of self here at Berea and beyond.

I've provided crisis intervention services for women experiencing homelessness & families feeling violent situations. I’ve organized with queer & trans college students and provided emotional processing support to teenagers from regions of conflict. I've provided direct, intensive, one-on-one case management support in clinical, legal, and governmental settings for people living with HIV and survivors of sexual violence. As a queer provider, I am THRILLED to directly support LGBTQIA+ students & their families and eager to bring allies into the fold.

I am trained in deep & active listening, evidence-based social work practice, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care. I have a strong professional interest in reproductive justice, human sexuality, posttraumatic growth, harm reduction, pleasure activism, mindful self-compassion, and developing skills for self-reliance.

Personal interests: the moon, cats, science fiction & Young Adult fantasy, voting rights restoration for Kentuckians who have felonies in their past.
