About Grammarly Premium at Berea College

Did you know that Berea College students, faculty, and staff can register for a Premium version of Grammarly using their berea.edu email address? In 2019, the office of Disability and Accessibility services received a three-year grant for a Grammarly Premium campus license. That grant is continuing through 2025 and is now overseen by Writing Resources. Grammarly is a digital writing support tool for grammar and spelling based on natural language processing and machine-learning technology.

Things to Remember When Using Grammarly Premium

While Grammarly’s automated features are helpful in the writing and editing process, it is a tool and not a complete writing solution. Grammarly may edit your unique voice to sound more standardized or robotic. We also recommend keeping Grammarly turned off while you write an initial draft because it may interfere with the flow of your ideas; instead, turn it back on when you are ready to revise.
