As the Senior Associate Vice President of Admissions and Financial Aid, Luke is responsible for the ongoing development and comprehensive visionary objectives for admissions and financial aid that reflects the College’s mission and goals. Key responsibilities include monitoring the college’s strategic enrollment plan and financial aid strategies in the attraction of mission-aligned students and maximizing student outcomes.

Luke has dedicated his entire professional career to advancing educational opportunities for youth, primarily from the Appalachian region. He began his career at Union College (KY) serving in the Upward Bound program before returning to his alma mater in 2005 as an Admissions Counselor. Prior to assuming his position of Senior Associate Vice President of Admissions and Financial Aid in 2025, Luke served as the Director of Admissions and most recently as Associate Vice President of Admissions. In addition, he serves on a variety of committees and councils, including the Enrollment Policies Committee and Administrative Leadership Council.

Luke is a 2002 graduate of Berea College where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. He went on to earn his M.Ed. in 2007 from Union College (KY). A native of Knott County in eastern Kentucky, Luke enjoys sports and spending time with his wife Jennifer, and daughters Isabel and Adalyn.

Fun Fact: Luke is a member of the 1,000-point club for men’s basketball at Berea.
