Brandon Hensley
Assistant Director of Admissions, Regional Network and Outreach

Biography
Brandon Hensley is the Assistant Director of Admissions, Regional Networking & Engagement at Berea College. In this role, he works closely with students, families, schools, community organizations, and alumni to expand access to higher education to students throughout the Berea College service area.
A lifelong educator and leader, Brandon brings over 20 years of experience in teaching, school administration, nonprofit leadership, and community engagement, with his career rooted in serving the people and communities of Appalachia. Prior to joining Berea College, he served as a principal and assistant principal, where he led initiatives that resulted in significant gains in student achievement, strengthened school culture, and expanded opportunities in the arts, leadership, student enrichment and student supports. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his work in educational leadership, strategic planning, staff development, community engagement, and organizational growth.
He has also served in nonprofit and community leadership roles throughout the region, including founding and leading organizations dedicated to supporting children and families in need.
Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science in education from Eastern Kentucky University and master’s degrees in educational leadership and supervision of instruction from Union College. He is passionate about student success, leadership development, and creating meaningful opportunities that empower individuals and communities to thrive.
