Skyler Tillman

Skyler serves as the Digital Communications Associate in Annual Giving. After spending most of his life in Henry County, Kentucky, he came to Berea as a student in 2021. He graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in history.

After completing a semester-long exchange program at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata, Japan, Skyler discovered his passion for global travel and cultural exchange. From the following semester until his graduation, he worked as an office assistant for Education Abroad in the Center for International Education. His primary concerns included guiding and supporting students before, during, and after their study abroad programs. One of his favorite things was hearing how transformational study abroad was for people, knowing exactly how it felt to be in their shoes.

In appreciation of his opportunities as a student, Skyler now hopes to “pay it forward” by telling the stories of Berea students through his work—stewardship outreach, text messaging, graphic design in email marketing, copywriting, and more. He is driven by the challenge of reconciling the foundational and historical traditions of Berea College with its ever-changing present and future.
