Bio

Olivia currently serves as a Philanthropy Officer at Berea College, covering Western Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and parts of the Midwest.

A native of Tennessee, Olivia received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Georgetown College. She obtained her Master of Education degree from East Tennessee State University, and she is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University.

Olivia is no stranger to Berea College, as she served in the Student Life Office as a Coordinator from 2017-2019, working in first-year programming, residence life, and with the Black Female Leadership Initiative. Olivia has served in higher education for over ten years. She most recently served as the Director of Alumni Relations and Major Gift Officer at her alma mater. She rejoined the Alumni, Communications, and Philanthropy team in 2023. Olivia believes that Berea College accomplishes the true mission of what higher education should be in that the Berea experience creates life-changing opportunities.

Olivia currently serves as a Board Member for the Kentucky Association of Blacks in Higher Education (KABHE) and the Tristan Project, two causes she is deeply passionate about. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated. Along with her husband, Ben—an educator as well—they consider themselves a higher education family. Olivia and Ben reside in Berea, Kentucky, with their daughter, Ever.
