Kyla Pike is the Coordinator for the Department of Music at Berea College. In this role, she oversees operations management—including administrative support, academic and event coordination, budget and payroll administration, and communications and technology support—while also supervising the department’s student labor program and managing building upkeep and instrument maintenance.

With a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University and nearly a decade of administrative and higher education experience, Kyla brings a strong background in organizational management to the position. A trained vocalist with years of professional study and performance, she values the opportunity to combine both her administrative expertise and musical passion in service to the department.

A Berea native, Kyla has long admired Berea College’s mission and vision as a community member and now finds joy in contributing directly as a staff member. She especially values the College’s “Great Commitments” as a collective aspiration that sets Berea apart in higher education.

Outside of work, Kyla enjoys being a true homebody—“indoorsy” by nature—happily baking fall recipes year-round, singing, and treasuring weekends with her husband and teenage daughter.
