Bio
I am a broadly trained botanist, but my area of expertise is Plant Autecology (more commonly known as plant population biology). I do a lot of work with seed ecology including seed dormancy, seed germination, and seedling establishment and survivorship. I teach the General Botany course in the Biology Department. I also teach courses in Dendrology (the study of trees), Ecology, and Conservation Biology.
When not roaming around "botanizing", I enjoy reading (primarily Christian theology, science fiction, and horror - weird combination, I know), watching movies (I'm a huge cinephile), and watching college basketball and football (Go Kentucky Wildcats!!)
Degrees
