“Yes! A Tribute to Michelle Tooley” by Berea fiber artist Ann Butwell (’87) is on display until April 30 in the Pross Gallery at Union Church. The works in this art exhibit are all about Dr. Michelle Tooley – a beloved Berea College professor who died in 2015 after a two-year struggle with melanoma. The show commemorates Tooley’s life, death, legacy of social justice and her friendship. Tooley taught at Berea College from 2003 to 2015, where she was the Eli Lilly Chair of Religion, Associate Professor of Religion and Chair of the Peace and Social Justice Studies Program. The gallery, located on the lowest level of the modern wing of the building, is open 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays, Wednesday evenings and Sundays 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Continue reading Tribute to Beloved Berea College Professor Now on Exhibit →
