Berea College Joins with Other Colleges and Universities in Choral-Orchestral Performance

Five musical ensembles from three Kentucky regional colleges and universities will join the Berea College Concert Choir in a collaborative performance Nov. 3 and 4. The concert in Berea will take place Sunday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m., at Union Church. An identical program will be performed on the main stage at Norton Center in Danville at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening, Nov. 3. Both concerts are free to the public. The Berea College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will present their annual spring concert in Gray Auditorium Sunday, April 15 at 3 p.m.  The public is invited to attend this free performance. The choirs are conducted by Dr. Stephen Bolster and will feature several student conductors. Lindsay Clavere will accompany on the piano. Concert Choir’s Fall Concert to Feature Classical and Traditional Music

The Berea College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will present their 2017 fall concert “Bach, Brahms, and Bluegrass” in Gray Auditorium at 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 12. The public is invited to attend, and there is no charge for admission. Stephen Bolster will conduct the choirs. They will be joined by special guest performers the Clavere Piano Duo (Javier and Lindsay Clavere) and the Berea College Bluegrass Ensemble, led by Al White. The Berea College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will present their annual spring concert in Gray Auditorium on Sunday afternoon, April 23 at 3:00 p.m. Gray Auditorium is located in Presser Hall (on Chestnut Street) on the Berea College campus, Berea, KY. The public is invited to attend, and there is no charge for admission. The choirs will be conducted by Stephen Bolster and accompanied by Lindsay Clavere on the piano. Festival of Spirituals Hosted At Berea College

The Berea College Music Department will present a day-long Festival of Spirituals and works by African American composers on Saturday, February 27, 2016. The activities will include presentations and demonstration during the morning, choral workshops in the afternoon and culminate with an evening concert. Berea College Annual Concert Choir Spring Concert, April 5 & 6

The annual Spring Concert by the Berea College Concert Choir and Chamber Singers, conducted by Dr. Stephen Bolster, will be held on Saturday, April 5, at 8 p.m. and Sunday, April 6, at 3 p.m. in Gray Auditorium on the Berea College campus. Concert Choir Fundraising Concert for International Tour

The Berea College Concert Choir will travel on a 15-day concert tour to Spain and Portugal from May 7-May 21, 2014. Music faculty members Dr. Stephen Bolster, conductor; Lindsay Clavere, pianist; Dr. Javier Clavere, organist, and math professor Sandra Bolster, chaperone, will lead choir members on a trip to several Spanish and Portuguese cities, including Barcelona, Valencia, Cordoba, Granada, Seville, Faro and Lisbon. The concert tour will be a “dream come true” for the students. It will include extensive, professionally guided tours of each city and excursions to museums and World Heritage Sites to allow the students to see great treasures of Moorish, Christian and Muslim cultures.
