Summer Connections is a program that allows incoming students to meet various college faculty, staff, administrators, and fellow students. Designed to foster a smooth transition to life as a student at Berea College, Summer Connections will include an introduction to the College’s academic, labor, service, and co-curricular programs. Matters of public health and safety, as well as life in a residence hall, will be addressed. Financial aid and payment-plan information also will be available.
Due to COVID-19, Summer Connections won’t be happening in-person on campus at Berea College. Instead, we have transitioned to an online platform for Zoom where we’d traditionally have our Livestream viewings. The following dates will be whenever the Office of Student Success & Transition will host Zoom sessions covering topics related to transitioning to life at Berea College with special guests from various campus partners.
May 10 – Domestic Students, International Students
May 31- Financial Aid
June 14 – Student Life
June 28 – Transfer students
July 12 – Labor Program
July 26 – Parents and Families
We hope that you’ll join us for these sessions as we provide you with answers to be successful in your journey with us as a Berea College mountaineer. Follow-up of information covered will be recorded & uploaded online for viewing afterward if not able to make the session at the time of the Zoom session, go to our Berea Bound podcast to stay informed.
Incoming students will receive an email to their myBerea email with a link to the Zoom session prior to the live session, this is for security purposes. There is not a registration process.
