Biography
Dr. Meta Mendel-Reyes is Associate Professor of Peace and Social Justice and General Studies at Berea College, and Chair of Division VI, the Interdisciplinary division. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley. She has been a labor and community organizer, participating in movements with migrant farm workers seeking justice in the fields of California and tenants’ group fighting environmental racism in Philadelphia, among many others.
