I am a 1996 graduate of Berea College. I worked as a Medical Surgical Nurse before returning to school for a Master’s Degree from Eastern Kentucky University. I began my teaching career upon completing the MSN. Returned to school at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and completed a PhD – Dissertation Topic: Health Related Quality of Life Among Individuals Living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I continue to teach Adult Health Nursing both in the classroom and clinical setting. I have a passion for Global Health, serving on medical mission teams.
