I came here from a small rural Appalachian town in North Carolina to go to Berea College. Berea has been my home since 1977. I am a proud 1983 graduate of the Berea College Nursing Program.
Other than being able to live my passion in nursing, my greatest achievement in life has been to be the mother of my son, Logan Hollis.
To say the least, I have had an awesome rewarding career. I have served our beautiful community as a Nurse for 40 years. 38 of those years were at St. Joseph Berea Hospital. There I was found at the bedside of the most critically ill patients in our hospital. If not there, I was teaching Emergency Medical Certifications to Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, and whomever required training in their career, precepting Nursing Students, as well as supervising and training certified nursing assistants.
I am now honored to be back at Berea College sharing my passion with students as an adjunct faculty member in the Nursing Department.
