Since 1980, this special group of individuals has helped to significantly increase Berea College’s financial base. Membership is tiered and based on annual giving:
The Mountaineer Club recognizes students and young alumni who have graduated within the past 10 years and donate $50 or more from July 1 to June 30. All donations through the Mountaineer Club will go directly to student tuition and other campus programs:
$250 or more
Berea Patrons is a gift club that recognizes students who support the work of Berea College through one time gifts or their labor earnings. Membership is renewed on an annual basis and all gifts from July 1 to June 30 count toward membership. Their gifts go to the Berea Fund, which supports everything that Berea is and does.
The Great Commitments Society recognizes an important group of individuals who play a key role in the future of the College. Members have included Berea College in their wills or have established life-income agreements with the College.
Great Commitments Society members have the option of receiving recognition through publication of their names in special College reports. The members are also invited to attend the Great Commitments Society Reception and Induction Ceremony every year in June. A small, picturesque garden behind Draper Hall is also dedicated to this group of individuals.
