This is the update for Thursday, June 4, 2020.
Kentucky reported 295 new cases today (another uptick) and 8 new deaths.
There was also an article in the NY Times today on the impact of the coronavirus internationally, as the pandemic has now established itself in a number of countries in South America, Africa and South Asia. The global incidence of cases is continuing to increase, now at more than 100,000 per day. In many of these countries, the health care systems are being overwhelmed by the numbers of cases and many people are suffering and dying, sometimes without being able to obtain medical treatment. This is a truly terrible situation, our hearts go out to our brothers and sisters in other countries.
