Daily COVID-19 Update: May 16, 2020

Dear Bereans,

This is the update for Saturday, May 16, 2020.

I do not have much new information for you today, but I did want to remind everyone of the salute to seniors tomorrow afternoon.  Because of that event, I am not planning on sending a separate update, but hope everyone will turn in for YouTube live event.  Here is the information again.

We are looking forward to honoring the Class of 2020 at 2 p.m., this Sunday, May 17, with a virtual senior celebration.

With student input and through the collaborative efforts of several departments, this event was put together to make our graduates feel celebrated, at least until we can do that in person.

Nearly 70 faculty members submitted short (and unique) congratulations videos for the Professor Well-wishes portion of the program. The Salute to the Class of 2020 video features photos submitted by our community and a list of graduates along with their honors and degrees. Portions of the event will be live-streamed from Phelps Stokes Chapel. Attendees can download a printable program and other Berea-branded graphics to commemorate this special event.

Please take a moment to share and click “Going” on the Berea College Facebook event to help us get the word out.
