Convocations

Berea College Convocations are designed to supplement the general education curriculum. bell hooks center-sponsored Convocations advance the College’s Sixth Great Commitment to gender equity in new and exciting ways. We invite prominent speakers like New York Times bestselling authors, Olympian medalists, social media personalities, and feminist activists to converse with our campus and community about sex, gender, sexuality, and their intersections. The breadth of Convocations offered provides a sampling of thoughts and personalities from a wide spectrum of approaches.
