Baptist Campus Ministry

Baptist Campus Ministry (BCM) exists to support and enhance the spiritual growth of Christian students on college and university campuses.  Local Baptist churches and the Tates Creek Baptist Association (TCBA) sponsor the Baptist Campus Ministry at Berea College. The BCM welcomes all students, regardless of their denominational affiliation. Students become members of BCM simply by participation.

The BCM focuses on sharing Jesus Christ and making connections among believers. Berea College Baptist Campus Ministry objectives are:

  • Engage every student of Berea College with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
  • Connect Berea College students with local churches
  • Provide Berea College students with ongoing discipleship activities
  • Provide Berea College students with Acts 1:8 and Great Commission service opportunities, and
  • Provide Berea College students with fellowship opportunities.

BCM provides various opportunities for spiritual growth and outreach: worship, Bible studies, conferences, mission service, fun, music and more. The Berea College BCM meets weekly from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the building behind Berea Baptist Church at 310 Chestnut Street. We begin with food provided by local churches and fellowship. Afterwards a Bible study is led by the missionary or other guests. Other Bible study groups and events, both on- and off-campus, also occur during the week depending on interest and availability.
