With degrees in Journalism, Business, and Education, Mark has held a variety of roles since 1982 in a diverse educational career, including teacher, outdoor educator, and professional development facilitator. He has facilitated numerous programs for a variety of leadership groups over the years.
In 2003, he joined Berea College as the Learning Training Coordinator, providing professional development training for staff, new employee orientation, leadership programming, and coordinating the staff performance management system. In the summer of 2013, Mark joined the Brushy Fork Institute as a Program Associate. While continuing to provide training and development workshops for College Staff, he also now provides leadership development for communities served by the Institute. Mark’s favorite training topics include teamwork, motivation, dialogue, delegation, leadership and supervision.
Mark loves his time at home with his wife and teenage daughter, and enjoys coaching youth soccer, hiking, bicycle touring, taking photographs, following the UK Women’s basketball team, and traveling to discover new places and people throughout the country.
