Biography

Daniel first began working at Brushy Fork in the summer of 2020 after serving for a year as the Information Security Associate for Information Systems & Services (IS&S) at Berea College. Their passion for community service and their love for the Appalachian region fostered a desire within them to become more personally involved with local leadership efforts in Central Appalachia. This driving force led Daniel to attend the 2019 Brushy Fork Leadership Summit where the dream of one day working for Brushy Fork was born. One year later, that dream became a reality and Daniel is now a proud member of the Brushy Fork team.

Daniel is a first generation college graduate with a BA in Communication and Spanish (2018) from Berea College. Born and raised in Clay, West Virginia, Daniel is extremely passionate about social justice, community service, and education and resource access for underserved communities. You can often find them enjoying copious amounts of coffee in their free time or playing D&D with their friends and coworkers!
