Funding for salary and staff expenses to enable more childcare programs to participate in USDA childcare food programs.

Funding to support scholarships for nurses living in medically underserved Appalachian counties to purse advanced practice nursing education.

Girl Scouts of Kentucky’s Wilderness Road

Grant funds provide STEM learning experiences to 175 K-8 girls in Floyd, Knott, Leslie, Perry and Pike counties in 2015.

High Rock for Girls

Funds will allow the project to sustain and expand the High Rocks Teaching Project, including recruiting efforts, mentoring and support for interns and AmeriCorps members working with girls enrolled in the program and continuing to offer high quality seminars.

Hindman Settlement School

Funds will be used to provide operation support for the Settlement School’s Summer Tutoring Program.

New Opportunity School for Women
