Dear Psychology Department Alumni,
The Psychology Department is planning to host a breakfast, panel, and mixer during Alumni weekend to both give our alumni a chance to meet with new and old friends, as well as to allow our current students the opportunity to hear about what our majors are involved in after they graduate from Berea.
Please consider joining us on Saturday, November 17 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in Frost 218. A light breakfast will be available beginning from 9:00-9:30 a.m. This will be a time to eat and visit with each other. Then, beginning at 9:30 a.m. and going until 10:30 a.m., we will have a few alumni on a panel speaking to the audience about the work they are engaged in. Although this will be aimed at educating our current students, all will be welcome (and encouraged) to stay for this portion of the event. Then, from 10:30-11:00 a.m., we will again have open time to mix and mingle between current students, faculty, alumni, and families. We hope that you’ll consider coming over to Frost and being a part of the event, for part or all of the time!
If you plan to come, we are still looking for a few alumni willing to be panelists for the event. We promise that no advance preparation will be necessary—it will be a facilitated conversation asking the alumni about what they do, what skills they learned at Berea or courses they took that were most helpful in their career path, what they had wished they had taken but didn’t, etc. If you are interested in being a panelist, please contact Amanda Wyrick at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know you are interested.
Finally, if you do plan to come, please also RSVP (including the number of people you’re bringing) to Amanda Wyrick email@example.com at so that we can make sure to have enough food available.
Thanks in advance for considering fitting the psychology department into your Homecoming plans—we hope to see you all on November 17 at 9:00 a.m.! See the most up-to-date Homecoming schedule and register for other events at: https://connect.berea.edu/events/view/4619
