About the Department

The Theatre major curriculum provides an introduction to all aspects of theatre: the literature of the drama, theatre history, acting, directing, set design and manageent. The major blends the curricular program with the co-curricular Theatre Laboratory labor program, the capstone Senior Theatre Project, and instruction from theatre faculty and guest artists.The Theatre Laboratory is the play production organization that supports a full season of plays each academic year, as well as individual student projects and original works.

The Berea College Theatre Laboratory opens its first production of the year. Call the Box Office, M-F 11-5, at 859-985-3300 for ticket reservations and information.

Two teenagers, devoid of hope for their future, find solace and romance in the exciting challenge of running a trestle before an oncoming freight train can traverse the bridge. If you win, you have fame; if you lose, you fall to your death.

The Theatre Program, along with the Appalachian Studies program and Silas House, announce the limited time sale of the book This Is My Heart for You.
