Green Seal Certified Cleaning Supplies
In 2007, Facilities Management shifted to Green Seal certified cleaners as the preferred cleaning supplies for campus-wide housekeeping. These environmentally preferred cleaners are packaged in bulk concentrates that are dispensed through an automated system that dilutes it with a precise amount of water. The paper products, such as paper towels and toilet paper that are stocked in restrooms and kitchens across campus are produced with post-consumer recycled content.
Student-Led Green Cleaning
Students have also initiated programming in residence halls and the Ecovillage to teach residents about the benefits of environmentally-friendly cleaning supplies and how to make home-made green cleaners with household ingredients.
