Appeal for Special Circumstances

Families may request an additional review of their FAFSA information due to special circumstances. This could include recent unemployment, lower earnings due to a job change, unusual medical expenses, or other factors that have impacted a family’s overall ability to contribute toward the student’s educational expenses. These circumstances must be conditions over which the family has no control. Special Circumstances Appeal Forms are available at Student Financial Aid Services and online here. and can be filed after October 1 of each award year.
