Jay Buckner
Contact Jay
As Communications Manager, Jay is responsible for managing official
electronic communication strategies to both internal and external
audiences. These communications involve information for Web site
content, newsletters, online news (BCnow)
and calendar pages, and other electronic mediums. In addition,
this office serves as the primary point of contact for media and
other inquirers. Since 2004, Jay has won 12 CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) awards for various projects.
Jay began working at Berea College in 2002. After graduating with
degrees in communications and public relations from Morehead State
University in 1993, Jay worked as a television news reporter and
videographer for several years.
Prior to joining Berea, Jay also worked in communications and
research at the University of Kentucky, and managed a conferencing
center at a Lexington hospital.
