On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Berea College’s Habitat for Humanity chapter will be sponsoring “Stories of Hope: Beyond the Build.” At the event, Habitat for Humanity homeowners will come to the Berea College campus to speak about how the organization, through providing them with housing, has changed their and their families’ lives.
The event is open to the public and will be held in the Activities room in the Alumni Building on Berea’s Campus. It will begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. and last until 8. Light refreshments will be served.
The community is invited to attend, as there will be the opportunity to interact with the families, as well as local volunteers and board members from Habitat for Humanity of Madison and Clark Counties. Sara Timberlake, program manager for the college chapter of Habitat for Humanity notes that this event will be a chance for the community to “directly see the impact that [Habitat for Humanity] is making in the area.”
