Wheeler also will be displaying several of his paintings, many of which have musical themes.  His books and recordings will be available for sale and signing.

Wheeler has written hundreds of songs, including “Jackson,”  “The Coming of the Roads,” and “Coal Tattoo.”   Loretta Lynn, Judy Collins, Hank Williams, Jr. , Elvis, and almost one hundred other singers have recorded his work, selling over fifty-seven million copies altogether, and Wheeler has garnered 13 awards from ASCAP for these songs.  A native of West Virginia, and a Berea College graduate (class of 1955), Wheeler is the co-author of Laughter in Appalachia and other books of humor, poetry and fiction as well as a dozen plays.
