Explore the human spirit through the movement of dance at the
December Berea Forum, scheduled Dec. 13, from 4-5 p.m. in the
Woods-Penniman Building Commons.
Stephanie Woodie, assistant professor of dance at Berea College,
will host an exciting show exhibiting the many dance forms found
on Berea College’s campus. Through dance, Berea students
will share their love of expression as they perform to various
styles of music. Tap, swing dance, clogging, ballet and many
more dances will also be included during the Berea Forum on Dec.
13. Through dance, attendees will experience “The Spirit
of Berea”. A group of students from the School of Creative
and Performing Arts (SCAPA) in Lexington who have been studying
African dance will also perform.
Attendees to this Berea Forum especially are asked to arrive
in plenty of time to avoid disruption of the performance. Parking
is available behind the Alumni Building or behind Boone Tavern
Hotel. Berea Forum programs are free and open to the public.
