Rev.
Paula McGee, a life-coach who is committed to inspire every woman to
accept and fulfill her call to greatness, will speak at Berea College
on Thursday, September 30 at 3 p.m. in Phelps Stokes Chapel.
The event, co-sponsored by the Campus Christian
Center, the Ruth Pister-Hampel Memorial Fund, the Black Studies Program,
and the Black Cultural Center,
is part of “Accent on Christian Faith Week” activities,
September 28-30.
Tuesday through Thursday, McGee will also be leading noon worship
services at Danforth Chapel.
A native of Flint, Michigan, McGee is a motivational speaker, writer,
and president of Paula McGee Ministries, a nonprofit organization,
whose mission is to help others to discover their calling and find
personal peace and self-fulfillment.
Paula and her twin sister, Pam, were both high school and college
basketball stars. Highly recruited, they went on to the University
of Southern California, where they played on teams that won back-to-back
National championships in 1983 and 1984. Following college, both went
on to play professionally, and Paula also started a sports management
agency where she represented her sister, Pam, in the WNBA. After a
season with the Dallas Diamonds and five seasons in Italy and Spain,
Paula left her professional career to pursue a call to Christian ministry
McGee is the co-founder of Christian Business Success Network, a nonprofit
organization that specializes in training and providing support for
Christian business leaders. She also is an ordained minister and the
former Dean of Chapel at historic Fisk University.
She holds a Master of Divinity degree from the Interdenominational
Theological Center in Atlanta, Ga., and a Master of Arts in Religion
from Vanderbilt University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Women's
Studies in Religion at Claremont Graduate University in Claremont,
Calif. She also is active in many different ways in the community of
Claremont, where she lives
