If King Were Alive Today" MLK Jr. Memorial Convocation
John Leonard Harris, speaker (editor note: photos of Harris attached

Harris is founder and principal consultant for Harris Consulting
Services in Lincoln Nebraska, through which he provides cultural
education, leadership, organizational effectiveness and personal
development programs for corporate, education, religious and
community organizations throughout the U.S. A native of St. Louis,
Mo., Harris is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia
and is currently completing a masters degree from the University
of Nebraska-Lincoln. He served for eight years as special assistant
to the vice chancellor for student affairs and since then has
worked with programs for low-income youth in Lincoln. He also
is an award-winning author, actor and singer. His 1993 article "The
Portrayal of the Black Family in Prime-Time Network Television" won
Article of the Year Award from the National Association of Human

Finding Common Ground"
Diversity Workshop led by John Leonard Harris
The workshop will explore topics such as: the true definition
of diversity, the concept of culture and the learned value of
people, and the formula for developing cross-cultural understanding
and sensitivity.
