| John Courter, Berea College Organist and Professor of Music
will present a recital on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 3:00 p.m. in Gray
Auditorium on the Berea College campus. It will be the final
concert on the 1970 Holtkamp organ before the renovation of
Presser Hall begins this summer.
The recital will feature organ music by German composers,
including Bach, Buxtehude, Pachelbel, Brahms, Clara Schumann,
Hindemith and Reger. The concert is free and open to the public.
During the Presser Hall renovation, home of Berea College's
music department, Holtkamp Organ Company of Cleveland will
reconfigure the instrument for its new location on the stage
of Gray Auditorium and make technological improvements. The
organ was a gift from Margaret Belknap Allen, a longtime member
of the Music faculty.
